SOME USEFUL TIPS ON PRODUCING YOUR VIDEO:

  • When sending a link to someone always put "Video" in brackets next to it.

  • Send to friends on Facebook with tags

  • Get close to the camera lens (but not too close) - head & shoulders is a good option.

  • Have an 'intimate' conversation with the camera - pretend the camera is the person you are talking to.

  • Smile & show some positive energy.

  • Use a catch-light - a small frontal light that shines in the eyes.

  • Don't go for 'perfect' - be candid and make it look natural

  • Create Video topics based on the vocabulary/glossary of that niche - e.g. Golf niche would have videos on "birdie, sand-trap, eagle, etc." - its an easy way to organize content.

  • Don't just hype the advantages - address pitfalls & problems too - failures included. This will add to your credibility.

  • Demonstrate your product if you have one, by holding it during the video

  • Wear the appropriate 'attire' and use the appropriate location - if that is not possible, go chromakey (greenscreen).

  • Always have a call to action at end - for example: "for more info like this go to mywebsite.com or subscribe to our channel/newsletter".

YouTube Tips:

  • Put URL first in the description and also at the end (twice)

  • Title videos appropriate to your niche - e.g. Scuba Tips: swim-fins OR Jewelry: Wedding-rings - Gold

  • Use similar tags to titles

  • Use same keywords in descriptions

  • Send invitations to view the video to all your friends and associates.

REMEMBER: GOOGLE LOVES VIDEO & ACTUALLY PREFERS IT TO TEXT
